How Do I Get a Hawaii Real Estate License?

To get a Hawaii real estate salesperson license, you must complete the following steps as required by the Hawaii Real Estate Commission:

How Long Does It Take to Get a Hawaii Real Estate License?

While the amount of time required to get your Hawaii real estate license is dependent on a few factors, most students complete the requirements within a 3-4 month time frame. There are a few steps which must be completed and they include: finishing the necessary education, submitting a background check, passing the real estate exam, procuring errors and omissions insurance, and obtaining sponsorship from an actively licensed Hawaii broker.

How Do I Renew My Hawaii Real Estate License?

Prior to your renewal date, you must complete the applicable 20-hour continuing education requirement. You’ll be able to renew your license by logging in to the online licensing system and following the prompts.

How Much Does It Cost to Get a Hawaii Real Estate License?

The initial costs include your pre-licensing coursework and the real estate salesperson exam fee of $68. There is also a license application fee, which changes annually.

What States Does Hawaii Have License Reciprocity Agreements With?

Hawaii does not have straight reciprocity with any state. How Long Is the Hawaii Real Estate Licensing Exam?

The exam is composed of 130 questions. Four hours are allotted to take the exam, and you must score a 70% or above to pass.
